In business, you constantly have to make decisions. For example when deciding how to increase your clients; you could keep your current process of getting clients or you could try something new. The question then becomes: How do you make a decision that is the most beneficial to your company?
In general, you make decisions based on data and experience. However, you can’t always rely on data that you used in the past. Because sometimes the things that used to work might not work now.
So what does this mean? It is time to get new data.
How do you get new data? Start writing down everything. What did you do, what were the steps you took to get there, and what was the result? Doing that day after day will start building up data. Be sure to also look at the existing systems that you have in place. Go through every single system and collect the data on how they are performing. The goal of collecting data to see any new patterns that could affect your next business decision. The more consistent the pattern is the more you can rely on the data.
Right now there is no such thing as 2020 vision. I know everything just seems so murky right now. That’s okay. Start getting new data and finding the new patterns that will affect your next business decisions. It will allow you to see what works and what doesn’t work in the current market.
