Watch the video for a more in-depth look at how a business owner can avoid burnout.

As your company grows, you want to make sure that you have people and systems in place that can handle every single level of your business. You can still oversee everything, but the bottom line is you want to make sure that you’re not running around making every single decision.

Your business is only as good as its weakest link. Don’t be the weakest link. There’s no way that you are efficient in every single area. No matter what your skillset is. If you’re not growing your business, you are not going to last in business. It’s a different mindset for all the different areas of business. Don’t be everywhere. Keep your business growing consistently by putting the right people, the right strategies, and the right systems in place along the way.

So, the question is. How do we run our business smoothly? Get back to basics. Think about an iceberg. You only see about 3% of the iceberg at sea level, with the majority of its mass being under sea level. You want to go underneath the surface and get to the root of all the problems. Fix it, then move on to next. I believe there are three areas in every business and all activities fall in one of these three areas. The three areas are vision, strategy, and systems. Let’s talk about those three in a little bit of detail.

Vision – knowing what direction you want your company to go to. Included in vision are your message and pulse. The message is how do you want your customers to think about your company. Make sure that the message is constant throughout all your business. Pulse is how your business is doing right now. In order to measure pulse, it is important to analyze sales often and also looking at how the sales are built.

Strategy- how are you going to make your vision a reality? It is important that all strategies are held accountable by having milestones associated with them, that can be easily measured.

Systems- how to get the results you want from your business? Duplication over and over again and get the same results by putting the same input in.

The bottom line is you want to make sure all three of these areas are running smoothly. When they all run smoothly, it’s like a finely oiled machine.
