If you are going to have a CRM you might as well make it work for you! Do not just have a CRM to collect data. That should be the minimum.
The standard definition of a CRM is the combination of practices, strategies and technologies use to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle.
CRM is a technology for managing all your company’s relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers.
Sure it is great that a CRM can store all the data in one place. Sure it is great that most CRMs have a dashboard or report feature to see the data in different ways.
But let that CRM do more heavy lifting and become a key part of your team. Have the CRM be a part of the full cycle of the lead and the client.
Here are some of the ways to have it be part of the team.
- Once a visitor of your website fills out a form, put the lead into an email campaign.
- Put the lead into a workflow that notifies a team member the lead has entered a different stage of the lead. Also have a checklist for the team member to do in that stage.
- Have an integrated calendar that allows the lead to book a discovery or sales call.
- Have a form get automatically sent once the call has been booked. This form will be pre call questions that you have prior to the call to help steer the conversation. Make sure the answers are stored in the CRM for easy access.
- Once the sale has been made, move the new client into an onboarding workflow.
- At each stage of the onboarding workflow, send emails to team members to notify and emails to the new client on what to expect during this process.
- If the lead was not successful, put the lead in another workflow for a future email campaign.
- Send newsletters to all clients
- After a client completes a service, have an email automatically go out to thank them and attach a testimonial link to get a 5 star review.
- Send an email out to enter the referral program and show the benefits (for all clients)
- Send an email campaign out to former clients to check in on how they are doing with their needs and give examples of newer services that they can sign up for and a link to new client testimonials.
This is just the start of what can be done!
